"To thine own self be true." A Tough thing to follow sometimes, isn't it? Well, I am learning, and trying my best:

Who I am: I am Annaleigh. I'm a 21 year old anthropology major at Bakersfield College, which is located in Bakersfield, California. I am a recently born again Christian who studies Native American spirituality as I am a Native American and find it deeply comforting to learn more about it. I try damn hard not to be holier than thou about the changes in my spiritual life because that's exactly what I hate. I'm not out to convert anybody. I just wanna do my own thing in peace, and let you do yours, in peace. I am an activist, but have been sidelined as of late because I am battling mental illnesses such as bipolar, social phobia & panic disorder, and a physical ailments such as anemia. I am anti racist, anti homophobia (I'm bisexual), anti sexism (feminism rules!), and a number of other things. When I have the energy, I start small projects in a humble effort to make the community better for at least a few people. I'd like to be a civil rights attorney and specialize in the rights of Native Americans, Mexican Americans, and women, but as it stands, bipolar and anemia threaten my chances. I am in a small way an advocate for survivors of all forms of abuse, mainly though my website. The mail I get through it really feels good, I like helping where I can. I have a boyfriend who I love very much, named John, and I hope to join him in Texas someday soon. If he had a LiveJournal, it would probably be under the SN YDoesGodMockMeSo. I'm very silly. But you knew that already. ;)

your arrogance is allied

"Even the seasons form a great circle in their changing, and always come back again
to where they were. The life of a man is a circle from childhood to childhood, and so
it is in everything where power moves."
